TRACK 1: last true mouthpiece - This story was heavily inspired by a piece of The Untamed fanart. It made me go "Oooooo I haven't written a good epic death scene in awhile. Better get on that ASAP." So here's that epic tragic death. They are so very fun to write. This was the first story I tried writing for PM but it took me a long time to figure out how to write it. So it ended up in Volume 2. TRACK 2: covered in deceit - I was deep in the trenches of the demon that is writers block so I asked a friend to send me some song recommendations. One of the songs she sent light up my brain like fireworks on the fourth of July and I immediately started writing. It was so refreshing after months of pulling words from my brain. TRACK 3: before the sun sets - Sometimes you are reading fanfic and it mentions a song covered by a specific person so you dash to Spotify to listen to it. And next thing you know you are plotting out the story of how two of your beloved characters finally get their act together and start dating. TRACK 4: in the freckles and old scars - I'm a sucker for soulmate AUs and this one came from a twitter angst AU generator. Song Recommendation: Caitlin
TRACK 5: some legends are told - This is the first time I have written anything set in a pre-existing world (ie not a world I created myself). I’ve been a sucker for PacificRim AUs for a very long time, pretty much since the movie came out, because the concept of drift compatibility is just too good.
